HISTORY OF THE FESTIVAL
ZWEI TAGE ZEIT
Zwei Tage Zeit was founded in 2006 by Zurich-based double bassist Daniel Studer in collaboration with institutions such as the Musikpodium der Stadt Zürich, IGNM Zürich and WIM Zürich. Since its inception, the festival has played a significant role in shaping Zurich’s cultural landscape and has taken place across various cultural venues in the city, including Theater Rigiblick and Kunstraum Walcheturm.
With Daniel Studer passing the baton to a new generation for its 11th edition, the festival enters a new chapter as the PHONEM Festival, organized entirely by the newly founded association Zwei Tage Zeit. The artistic direction is now in the hands of two Switzerland-based artists who play key roles in both the Swiss and international improvised music scenes.
