Kayu Nakada is a Japanese sound artist and performer from Osaka whose work blurs the boundaries between sound, performance and visual art. Inspired by the aesthetics of the prepared piano, he transforms circuit bending into a mesmerizing live act, where synthesizers and rhythm machines become instruments of chance, accident and transformation. By physically and electronically shaping short circuits, Kayu Nakada plays with – and sculpts – the most unpredictable visual and sonic forms that unfold in real time.
